Climate

Climate is the historical or statistical weather, and the average temperature and precipitation are the usual ways to describe the climate of a location (like "hot and dry" or "cool and wet").

Most of the climate stations used in the U.S. have records that go back to the late 1800s (this is the Period of Record, or POR).

The climate "normal" temperature is the 30-year average for that weather station, and the current climate normal is calculated from 1991 to 2020.
